SOCIAL PULSE
Myth: Sales Methods Haven’t Changed Because They Still Work
Do you come across as sleazy? 🤔
Transcript:
So many sales professionals don’t realize that they come across as sleazy.
Why?
They’re pushing, talking too much and trying to make a sale.
When they should be asking good questions.
Overcoming objections, closing and being surface-level without digging into the issues where the customer is no way to go.
The sales reps who have a singular vision to sell their products and services to everyone they come across, are typically perceived as egomaniacs instead of just hungry.
There’s another way you can be viewed as sleazy, and for some it’s surprising:
Overpromising or just saying “yes” when you’re unsure.
The key to not being sleazy is to be you and tell the truth.
Don’t try to pretend or overdo it.
Just chill, ask good questions and truly give a shit.
It’s okay to say, “I don’t know. Let me get back to you with that.”
They’ll respect you for telling them the truth.
It’s not hard to see the difference between someone who cares and someone who is only focused
on themselves and the sale.
